If you are presenting didactic material, covering clinical sessions, and a variety of laboratory or skill sessions, you may not have the time to develop instructional material that you had hoped to develop. On the other hand, you may find that you have some time to develop this instructional material, but are not sure how to complete the project, have the skills that you feel are needed, or the software needed to complete a specific aspect of the project.
Having the desire to develop instructional material takes time, a certain level of skill, and a variety of hardware and software. In education, the task of development typically falls upon the shoulders of the person wanting to create the end product. In these cases, many projects are either never started or completed.
Whether wanting to create engaging instructional material on a specific subject, animated story lines to help maintain student interest, or re-designing your existing PowerPoint presentations to ensure that they have a consistent appearance and are visually appealing, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of subject matter experts (other faculty) to develop instructional projects.
If you or your program would like to obtain hands-on training, help with re-designing an educational project or PowerPoint presentations, or develop specific course material, please feel free to contact me for additional information.
